Rishabh Pant takes Catch, Virat Kohli shares light moment and Exchanges Words With Rishabh Pant and Ishant Sharma After Controversial Call. Rishabh Pant takes a stunning catch to dismiss Heinrich Klaasen during the 46th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
In the fourth over, Kohli edged a delivery from Ishant Sharma and Pant took a sharp catch behind the wicket. Although the fielders were convinced that the catch was clean, Kohli remained adamant that it took a bounce ahead of the wicket-keeper and the umpires went for a review.
Kohli had the best view and he was pretty certain that the ball bounced before landing into the gloves of Pant. The on-field umpires sent it upstairs with a soft signal of not out. There wasn’t enough evidence for the third umpire to overturn the decision and it did look like the ball had bounced just before Pant.
Both Sharma and Pant started celebrating even as Kohli, who was following the ball to the glove, laughed off the appeal. The on-field umpire gave it not out and reviewed. Delhi’s joy was short-lived with the replays showing Pant grabbing the ball on the bounce.
